Overview

Crime 13. Pick a job, breach the target (3 nerve), place accelerants, ignite (5 nerve), stoke/dampen, collect (2 nerve). Time-gated: jobs reset daily at 00:00 TCT, synchronized for all players. Do all jobs daily or you lose them.

Enhancer: Windproof Lighter (from burglary, Secluded Cabin unique). +5% CE/CS gains.

Preserving Jobs

Inquire about a job (0 nerve) to stop it despawning at midnight. Preserved jobs carry over but block duplicate jobs from spawning that day. Clear preserved jobs ASAP.

Fire Stats

Stat What it does
Intensity How hot the fire burns. Limits max destruction. Decay at 0.2/s when momentum = 0. DO NOT stoke at red (max intensity).
Momentum Unburned fuel. Consumed at rate based on flammability. Replenished by stoking. Wait for it to die down before stoking.
Suspicion Relevance for insurance/accidental/suspicious jobs only. Methane removes suspicion.
Visibility Affects emergency dispatch speed. Only relevant for "high visibility" jobs.

Rurality (response time before firefighters arrive)

1=30s, 2=60s, 3=120s, 4=240s, 5=480s. Rural = more time to work.

Accelerant Types

Liquid (Gasoline, Diesel): Best for most fires. High momentum across all areas. Stack up to areas+1 (max 5) before crit risk increases. Diesel lowers crit rate on ignition.

Solid: Good for small targets (3 areas or less). Pairs well with Diesel. Never use 2+ solids without Diesel. Bad for 1-area targets.

Gaseous (Oxygen, Methane, Hydrogen): High spread. Use 2 for mid intensity all areas, 3 for max. Save Methane for last (removes suspicion). Better for stoking than starting.

Thermite: Must use to increase destruction rate cap beyond base flammability limit.

Job Requirements

Insurance claim / Accidental cause: keep suspicion low. Use Oxygen, Saltpetre, Kerosene or Methane. Total destruction: reach 100%. Need right combo of flammability + response time. High visibility: use Diesel or Magnesium. Highly suspicious: use Gasoline, Magnesium. Specific accelerant: can only use that accelerant type (igniters/dampeners still allowed). Plant evidence: place a specific item before igniting (costs 5 nerve).

Suspicion cap: roughly 3x number of areas for insurance claim jobs.

Critical Failures

Causes: stoking at red intensity, stacking too many accelerants, bad timing with momentum. Standard penalties plus possible life loss or prison.
