Returning Veteran Catch-Up Guide

Note: Author was also a STR-focused player returning after years away. Directly mirrors chuje's situation.

Tip 1: Pick a Stat to Specialize In

DEF or DEX only. STR/SPD = glass cannon, doesn't work.

  • Keep at least 1B in each stat eventually (for stat-tier merits)
  • DEF and DEX give effectiveness against the majority of the playerbase
  • Author was STR-focused, migrated to DEF

For chuje: Dex whore is the recommended path per mug's guide. DEF is also valid. Either way, stop pumping Str and focus stat-building energy entirely on Dex (current: 54K → needs to reach 150K+).

Tip 2: Switch Company Job

Drop money-grinding jobs (Oil Rig, Logistics, PSF) for stat-perk companies:

Ladies Strip Club (LSC) +10% Def gym gains, +25% passive Def, Serotonin boost, melee damage mitigation — for Def whores
PSF (current job) Armor boost only. Decent but not as strong as strip for stat building
Clothing Store +25% passive Dexterity + 20% armor bonus

For chuje: Switch from PSF to Gents Strip Club if going Dex whore. +10% Dex gym gains + +25% passive Dex = enormous advantage. With Tyrosine, DEX hits 6× during war windows.

Tip 3: Missions + Special Ammo + Weapon Mods

  • LOS stock block gives +25% bonus to missions — buy this immediately
  • Do every mission religiously for mission points (buy mods, ammo, books)
  • Special ammo priority: Armor Piercing > Incendiary > Tracer > Normal >> Hollowpoint
  • Build up mods on your weapons — even small accuracy differences beat years of speed training

Tip 4: Income Sources

  • Stocks with 20%+ ROI
  • Bank: 10/10 merits + max deposit for 3 months (currently chuje has $0 in bank — fix this)
  • PI rental: 75M per 100 days is rough market rate (can split PI costs with spouse)
  • Program Firewalk viruses and sell them
  • Join faction → do OCs and Ranked Wars = major income

Tip 5: Crimes 2.0

  • Make sure it's active on your account
  • Hit CS100 in every crime (each has separate skill bar)
  • Focus on merits from crimes early

Tip 6: RW Equipment

  • Don't stick to same loadout forever — swap for specific situations
  • Avoid helmets with low head/throat coverage (or you eat one-shots)
  • Warlord bonus weapon = more respect per hit in Ranked Wars

Armor: Assault set + Marauder Facemask (better head/throat than Assault helmet)

Tip 7: Level Holding

If you level hold (don't level up), you get 1 buyable merit per 2 levels — think carefully. Pros vs cons worth researching. At level 35, every 2 levels = 1 extra merit.

Battle Sequence (Author's Method)

  1. Open with secondary (Assassinate = massive first-turn damage)
  2. Use temp weapon: Smoke for easy fights, Serotonin for serious RW targets
  3. Melee with Eviscerate to ramp up damage in subsequent turns
  4. Finish with primary (Armalite)

With LSC + Serotonin: +450% DEF during the buff = extremely tanky. Author survived 5-6 players attacking simultaneously in a war.

  1. Join GSC (Gents Strip Club) as soon as possible — +10% Dex gym gains + Tyrosine = fastest path to fixing Dex
