Being a Faction Member

The Three Faction Types
Powerhouse
Strong old players. High upgrades (Steadfast/Hermetic 8-10). Require very high stats (500M+). Do termed wars. Sub-factions for newer players. Don't waste their time if you're weak.
Best for: Old player, high stats, want max gym gains and serious wars.
Aggressive
Active players, constant wars, varied stats. Steadfast ~5-7. Teach new players faction mechanics. Best for learning. Expect to be in hospital a lot. Provide xanax, meds, sometimes weapons.
Types within aggressive: - Type A: Full support (meds, xanax, weapons, money) but demand 100% chaining commitment - Type B: Basic support (xanax, meds), teaches self-sufficiency - Type C: Meds only (poor leadership) - Type D: Socially funded by members, most fun and social - Type E: Cash-based (avoid these, they collapse fast)
Best for: Newer active players, want to learn wars and earn merits fast.
Peaceful (Filler)
Not actively warring. Often used as filler by Aggressive factions. Social circles, banks, or retired players. Low or no expectations.
Best for: Inactive or new players wanting basic steadfast/hermetic perks while building stats.
What Faction to Join for Ranked War Goals
You're aiming for Ranked Wars eventually. The path is:
- Now: Join a Peaceful faction for steadfast gym bonus (+5% gains) while building stats
- When stats are decent (100M+): Move to an Aggressive faction to learn chaining and war mechanics
- Late game (500M+ stats): Aim for a Powerhouse or top Aggressive faction for ranked war
Chaining Basics
- Hit enemies within a time window of each other to maintain the chain
- Milestone hits at 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 give massive bonus respect
- Filler factions are weaker targets used to build chain count before hitting the real target
- Never waste a milestone hit on a non-war target
Key Faction Upgrades to Look For
When choosing a faction, check these specific upgrades:
| Upgrade | What it does |
|---|---|
| Steadfast | +% gym gains for all members (max is massive) |
| Hermetic | +% medical item effectiveness |
| Salutary | Reduces revive energy cost (Salutary 10 = 25E to revive) |
| Criminality | +% crime progression bonus |
| Tolerance | Reduces OD chance on drugs |
For training focus: Steadfast and Hermetic matter most.
Finding a Good Leader
Message the faction leader before joining. A good leader replies promptly and kindly even if rejecting you. Red flags: ignoring messages, aggressive to recruits, demanding cash payments to join.
