Which Company Should I Join?

This guide covers player-owned companies only (not city careers). 99% of the time player companies give better perks than city jobs.

Early Game (each battlestat under 1M, workstat 0-10k)

Most early game companies will not pay wages. The perks ARE the payment. High star companies may even tax you. Directors run these at a loss to maintain stars.


Adult Novelty

Best company for happy jumps if you can afford to do them constantly. At 10 the EDVD bonus doubles gains. If you play casually and only jump occasionally, better options exist. Note: "Selling happy" is a side income in 10 AN. Another player doing a Poison Mistletoe happy jump pays you to absorb leftover happy after your jump.

More focused on money than training. Energy cans at 7* are the main draw. Selling cans = steady income. You have to choose between selling cans (income) vs using them for happy jumps (training). Best for infrequent jumpers or players who want visible cash income. Full notes: Sweet Shop Job

Very popular across all player types. 1 JP for 5 energy at 7* (capped at 100 JP per day = 500 extra energy). Standard strat: stack 100 JP then time a happy jump for 500 bonus energy (nearly half a second jump). Also useful in combat events (Valentine, Eliminations, Dog Tag, Halloween). Awareness passive = chance to find stat enhancers in the city.

Best choice if you want to finish college fast. 1 JP = 30 minutes off education time at 7. The 5 perk makes you good bait in chaining/warring factions (reduced enemy stealth = more retaliations).

For dedicated plushie runners. Preferred over Flower Shop due to faster plushie restocks. Key tactic: If there are 5 plushies and 28 flowers/other items available, buy the flowers FIRST to fill your base capacity, then buy the 5 plushies on top. This maximises total items carried. With the newer items available abroad (Meteorite, Fossil, Arrowhead), this tip is even more critical.


Flower Shop

For dedicated flower runners. The drug addiction reduction perk is very powerful long term. Less rehab = less lost stats. The more rehab you do, the less effective it becomes, so preventing the need is a huge long-term gain. Best combined with 3 xanax + 1 refill daily routine. Downside: flowers go out of stock more than plushies.


Property Broker

Trader-centric. 5 removes IM anonymous listing fee (useful for frequent item market sellers). 7 random property lottery averages ~$200k/day in a 10 company. 10 useful for directors upgrading properties.

7* mug protection perk is exceptional for high-value traders and high-stakes casino players. Makes def builds more tanklike, dex builds more slippery. Low stat requirement relative to the warring perk quality.

Combined with faction energy drink perk: 750 extra energy per day vs standard routine. How some players reach 1B stats in under 400 days. Not for average players.

Two uses: (1) Free-to-play players want the 3* perk: 30% more gym XP = unlock better gyms 30% sooner. (2) Late-game chaining/warring at high stars. Good bait for retaliations at 5*.


Cruise Line Agency

For xanax runners and general flyers. Total +5 travel items at 10 (direct upgrade over Toy/Flower Shop for item capacity). Drug addiction reduction at 5 is great value. At 10*, objectively better than Toy Shop for item running.


Pub

Best company for building crime experience fast. Multiple synergistic crime perks. 10 very hard to get into even with 50k workstat due to competition. 7 is good enough as a stepping stone. Hard to find spots during alcohol events (St Patricks, International Beer Day). Recommended: nerve refill at 10* when NNB is around 90+ (with faction perk).


Meat Warehouse

Easier to get into than Pub with lower workstat. 3* perk reduces CE loss on failed crimes, useful for high-risk profitable crimes like 18-nerve Hacking. The tradeoff: you get short-term money but may cap your NNB at 35-40 forever. For 60-NNB players: FBI Hack in a Meat Warehouse is decent income without needing faction PA OC.


Law Firm

Two main uses: (1) Fast-track busting merits or get the Busting book. (2) Get into high-level OCs faster. 5* is critical for busting (reduces time-gate: successful busts reduce success rate for 12-72 hours, this perk lets you bust more at once). Background Check stat spy service has some demand, though tools have reduced it.


Amusement Park

Weird mix of crime training, happiness selling, and warring perk. Free Ride buyers exist but are rare. 10* perk decent for crime-focused players.


Gun Shop

5* perk is very powerful in wars: free loadout spy on everyone before attacking. Good for getting special ammo merits early.


Clothing Store, Cyber Cafe, Software Corp (brief)

Cyber Cafe: Mostly for bounty reveal income and coding merit. Demand for bounty reveals has dropped.

Software Corporation: Company vault hacking. High patience required. Most rich players have SYS block (firewall protection). Only worth it if you can identify unprotected targets. See Every Money Making Method (BattlebeeAlpha) for the full strategy.


Lingerie Store

Best company for very active flyers (8-10 flights per day). 10 free BCT = free travel every trip. Massive saving and faster trips. Simp perk at 7 saves $352k/day in PI upkeep and staff costs (fully staffed PI). Concealment + Sex Appeal beats Toy Shop/Flower Shop/Cruise Line combined for item capacity + speed, except those have drug addiction reduction.

Minimum workstat to even try: 50k+ single stat. Very competitive. Most have to tax employees just to keep stars.

If you only log in 2-3 times a day: Cruise Line or Flower Shop is better. Lingerie Store rewards high-frequency players only.


Late Game (battlestat 50M+, workstat 50k+ single stat)

Minimum 50k+ single workstat to get into a 7 late-game company. For 10: often double or quadruple that.


Farm

7 energy per 1 JP at 10 = highest energy-per-JP in the game. Everything else is throwaway. Cap: 100 JP converted/day = 700 bonus energy. Downside: Farms are almost impossible to keep at 10 for more than 2 weeks (limited inventory, director must manually produce stocks).


Game Shop

Like Farm but slightly less energy and more variety. Lower workstat requirement than Farm. Less competitive but also less desirable. 100 JP daily cap applies.

Almost pure training company. 10* perk (+3% gym gains) is the main draw. Good low-star perks too. Strip clubs have reduced its appeal since their buff.


Gas Station

Cauterize at 5* is broken for def builds. Procs 10% chance per turn even on a miss or 0-damage hit. A tanky def build in Gas Station wastes the energy of 4-5 attackers in ranked war. Combined with full EOD armor, GAK, and a bloodlust melee weapon = final boss difficulty.


Mining Corporation

Was top def-whore warring company before Gas Station rework. Still very strong for defense builds in war. 3* perk (alcohol cooldown reduction) is now the second most popular crime company after Pub thanks to Crime 2.0. Good daily wages.


Detective Agency

Sell stat spies, Friend/Foe reveals, and flight extensions to muggers. Arrest passive can generate income via bounty rewards. High battlestat requirement. Flight extension useful in ranked war to trap abroad hitters.

Niche. 1 bounty protection useful for people who scammed someone and need to lay low. 10 for players who want mission shop mods without doing missions. 7* full armor set bonus is very strong end-game.

Makes money by saving it. Reduces rehab costs and OD risk. 50% OD reduction at 7 is significant for xanax users (normal OD chance ~2.5-4%). 10 director perk: education continues while addicted.


Oil Rig

The ultimate passive income job. 10* perk raises bank investment cap from $2B to $3B. At max merits and $3B invested, earns significantly more than $2B. Other perks mostly throwaway after Stock 3.0 made Cayman irrelevant. VYNICAL's description: "Torn is your Facebook by this point." For very old, rich accounts who log in occasionally.


Logistics Management

High daily wages ($2M-$5M+ depending on workstat). Logistics Report service sells for ~$25M per 25 days ($1M/day). 5* perk is very useful in ranked war (fly back while hospitalised abroad). Contraband perk is useless (gives random junk items).


TV Network

Press Pass (10) is a lottery with these possible payouts: - 0.25% stat increase (~100M-115M value) at 1/14 chance - 300 energy* payout - 0.25 racing skill increase

The 0.25% stat perk is the reason high-stat end-game players join. Daily wages also very high ($3M-$5M+) from TV network revenue.


VYNICAL's Quick Build Recommendations

Best Company Path for Free-to-Play (Day 0)

  1. Join a 3* Music Store minimum at day 0, do 3 xanax training daily
  2. Whore dex until final gym unlocks (~1 year with consistent 3xan)
  3. Jump to 5* Mining Corp, use job points to quickly build Def
  4. Switch to whore Def while racking in good daily wages
